Saturday breakfast helps annual Christmas parade

Sometimes, folks looking to help a worthy cause have a chance to get a good meal in the process. Folks can do just that this Saturday morning, October 11, when the Copperhill Kiwanis Club members serve up their annual pancake breakfast. The event will be held at the First Baptist Church of McCaysville/Copperhill from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. The cost of the breakfast is 5 for adults and 2.50 for children. Club members are busy raising money for the annual Copperhill Christmas parade.

Now in its 49th year, the parade is a community favorite in the Copper Basin and Fannin County. Only the annual July 4th fireworks display brings more visitors to the twin cities of Copperhill and McCaysville at any one time. Kiwanians work hard to make the parade a success. Their efforts take money. Help them out Saturday and start the weekend off with a hearty breakfast.
