Middleton Christmas lights will be twinkling once again for the festive season with the big official switch on to take place on Saturday 17 November. A whole day of activities are planned before the Mayor Cllr Peter Evans flicks the switch at 4.30pm.
From 11am, local radio station Tower FM will be broadcasting live from Middleton Gardens, courtesy of the shopping centre, with a host of acts taking to the stage in Middleton Gardens including some of the cast from this years Civic Centre pantomime - Dick Whittington. Father Christmas himself is due to arrive in town at 1.30pm.
Also during the afternoon, Middleton Junior Brass Band will be joined by local school choirs providing music and carols, making sure the countdown to Christmas is well and truly on!
