There are sometimes no words to express how utterly obtuse some people are regarding their comments. (I suppose some just want a reaction… well here’s mine). I agree with you Josie. Let people hang their decorations all over THEIR OWN PROPERTY if they want, and if they want to decorate the City, then they need to contact the City and obtain both the Approval and Permit. And if they need to contract a professional to hang the decorations and absorb the cost, then so be it.
If not, they need to sign a waiver stating that they will take responsibility (financially or otherwise) to the public for WHATEVER may occur. If nothing happens… all is well in the world. We have rules and laws for a reason. What would this world be if everyone decided they didn’t like a particular rule or law and decided to bypass it????? Anyone with half a brain know the answer to that question.
