John Jones was on hand last Wednesday to accept the check from Hoover, and voiced his surprise that the company was contributing to the project this year, in light of the plant’s closure last week (Hoover Precision Products, Inc., headquartered in Cumming, Georgia, announced two months ago it would be shutting down its Erwin plant, effective Sept. 30).
