Holidays crash party at Tulip Hill Winery

Wine bottles and vines are the year-round norm, but Christmas products have adorned the business since early November. Workers typically decorate the store for the holidays during Thanksgiving week, but this year they did it a little earlier. “We moved the holiday season a little forward,” Tasting Room Manager Tom Montaney said.

Tulip Hill also put together a nifty Christmas package that New Yorkers named as a top holiday gift for 2007: A bottle of fine vino from Tulip Hill with the “Aria” CD by Diva Janet Hopkins, a Metropolitan Opera singer now of the desert. In-house and mail-order sales have been “outstanding,” staff said. In addition to wines, customers have had their eyes on Christmas ornaments. “Grape ornaments are the big thing - they’ve been incredibly popular,” Montaney said.
