Christmas is 59 days away but that isn’t stopping stores from cashing in. From the Heart in Cedarburg has creepy faces, pumpkins and Santa all living happily under one roof. The specialty shop is known for its unique holiday decorations any time of the year. While some might say it’s too early to be thinking candy canes and Santa Claus, registers are ringing. About a third of all sales at From the Heart are Christmas-themed.
Some shoppers say they start looking for Christmas gifts and decorations in October so they don’t have to battle crowds. Christmas is still the number one consumer holiday but according to national figures, consumers wil spend more than $3-billion this Halloween making it a profitable and merry holiday season for businesses either way.
